Minna Mukari: Places of Comfort exhibition opening
On Friday 29 August 2025, from 6–8 p.m., we will celebrate the opening of Minna Mukari's art exhibition, Lohtupaikkoja (Places of Comfort). Admission to the event is free and the gallery is wheelchair accessible.
Mukari describes her exhibition as follows:
The themes of the works arise from moments spent in nature, things seen and experienced there, and the comfort and tranquillity provided by nature. Nature is a place where I often go alone, accompanied only by my dog or horse. I let the wind carry me with no destination in mind, allowing my enchantment to lead me into the depths of the forest.
In my works, I explore the influence of nature on my imagination and the visual manifestation of images. My pieces offer empathetic interpretations, emphasising the changing rhythms of nature through atmospheric spaces, movement, stillness and colours.
The exhibition consists of my oil paintings and sculptures made from natural and recycled materials, through which I explore the dialogue between two art forms.
