Fringe is a contemporary artist-run gallery specialising in bold uncompromising innovative experimental expanded moving image, alternative photography and everything that can exist on its fringes.
Alongside the exhibitions, Fringe presents a monthly series of events complementing and expanding the programming through film screenings, sound, live cinema performances, artist talks and lectures.
Currently at Fringe Gallery, we are presenting I See My Eyes, a solo exhibition by visual artist and experimental filmmaker Paola Guzmán Figueroa. Working with analogue 16mm film, installation, and images originating from her own laser eye surgery, the exhibition explores vision as both a physical and personal experience, reflecting on changing geographies, memory, light, and the shifting ways in which we perceive what surrounds us.
