Images of Summer

The Vantaa Artists' Association provided the opportunity to spend time and work at an artist residency in Salzburg in June 2026. The watercolors in this exhibition were painted there; the new environment brought inspiration and joy to the creative process.

The paintings focus on people and human relationships. The figures within the works range from clearly defined forms to mere traces of thought. Small details found in the paintings weave stories into the works, offering reflections on life.

The exhibition also includes a few oil paintings, which form a distinct group. Their technique and materials create a different atmosphere; in these works, the figures appear within their own environments—settings that also mirror the subjects' inner moods.
